Sure pardner, as as long a we’s a-wearing boots that come up to our knees, it doesn’t matter if our socks match or not.

Nor do pluggers care whether their jacket matches their shirt, or whether their shirt matches their pants, or whether their pants match their socks, or…

Is he even wearing socks?

I guess out here in Arizona cattle country we wear our boots and pants all wrong. The only time we see boot tops is on a tenderfoot at a dude ranch. Looks like I’ll have to stop everyone that I see working on a horse and tell them to tuck their pant legs in. It might be tough though, “boot-cut” jeans are flared to fit over the outside

I don’t really care, it’s JUST A CARTOON!!!!!

Whether the pants should be tucked in or not, the fact remains that it doesn’t matter if his socks match.

I grew up not being able to match my socks - but then there was 4 other kids in the family trying to match their socks too. All of our socks were in a box and we learned quick to be the first to the sox-box for matching pairs every morning.
