This echoes an old Dennis the Menace strip where Dennis is in his birthday suit, and his mother is holding his usual outfit in front of him and giving him a “Well, mister, what are you waiting for?” look. His sensible answer: “Give me one good reason why I should have to wear clothes on a hot day!”
