I wonder how much business they lost after Rufus and Joel totalled a customer’s car last year? That’s the kind of customer-service issue that spreads like wildfire.
(Clovia and Slim went on vacation after Slim’s breakdown following the “Drop a Meteor on the Basketball Court” storyline. They left Skeezix in charge. When their other mechanic/tow-truck driver went missing, Skeezix left R&J in charge, telling them not to touch the cars. They then drained all the oil out of one, spilling it all over the floor, and backed another one off the raised lift.)
Gweedo, The Cat Came Back is a 1988 cartoon by Cordell Barker in which old Mr. Johnson is plagued by a little yellow cat. No matter what he does to get rid of him, the little bugger always returns. There is a wonderful sung narration, and the chorus goes:
“But the cat came back, he thought he was a goner,
The cat came back the very next day,
The cat came back, he just couldn’t stay away.”

Is this a segue or will the painting come back?

Maybe if Slim would learn how to fix cars built after 1965 it would help.

A ledger book? Maybe if they were using Quickbooks they might have known sooner how they are doing financially.

I think King Rat must have seen it.
