Joe, we had the same problem with a Cub Scout Walk-a-thon. The boys asked for donations for the number of miles they walked, and when one man said he just wanted to give a flat amount instead of a per-mile amount, they didn’t know what to do with it.
I’m hung up on Yukoner’s business write off. It’s been a long time since I tried it but I think you can only write off as much gamboling loses as you claim in winnings.
