My wedding was on June 25th. When my husband asked if that date had any signifigance, I explained that it was the date of the battle of little big horn (custer’s last stand).
The trouble is trying to FIND “Son of the Morning Star”. Netflix and Blockbuster don’t carry it at all, and Hollywood Video used to have it on VHS, but of course they no longer rent VHS.
(Interestingly, Kevin Costner was offered the role of Custer, but turned it down to do his own “Dances With Wolves”.)
If you’ve ever heard Bill Cosby’s toss of the coin, from one of his albums (recorded in the 1960’s)
Custer calls the toss and loses so he has to sit in a canyon while “all the Indians in the world ride right down on him”!

Cute cartoon, but not historically accurate. He was spared to the very end so that he could watch his soldiers die all around him.
The indians reeeally didn’t like him. For good reason, mind you, but they wanted him to suffer.
“Son of the Morning Star” is a good movie on the subject if anyone is interested.
