If it has any Microsoft components try opening and shutting the door really hard, then unplug it and plug it in again, with a vengeance. If all else fails, dig through the cupboard or drawer of Lost Things and find the instruction manual - then hit the microwave with it.

Actually, thumping the offending machine can be quite helpful, especially if it’s my husband doing the thumping.
Everything has built in obsolescence these days.
