Darkeforce: There’s a big difference between “shaved my head” and “most of my hair fell out because of chemo.” Just think of it as Male Pattern Badass.
The people who’ve lost their hair for medical reasons would love to have it back the way it was. Sadly, or interestingly, the hair often comes back differently. My Beloved’s hair was thick and straight, but came back in curly, and almost black, as opposed to her original ginger blonde.
I shaved my head several years ago and donated it for wigs. hen I decided to keep it shaved or short because of my increasing forehead. Middle Son decided to do the same in Sept ‘09. He’s sometimes mistaken for a female (from behind), but we’re accustomed to his long locks. When he goes for the cut, though, it’s going to take a while to recognize him. :)
G’day Jason, Dry, JFri, Ottod, Meggsiefan, Frank and all Meggsie’s mates.*
No, haven’t had a sabbatical, been painting the house, inside and out and with more paint on me than on the walls and ceilings I have had a tendency to avoid using the keyboard.
There’s been a bit of discussion about Ginger hinting that the hairdresser cut all his hair off. My opinion is that Ginge is being cheeky and referring to the barber’s bald head. Not a real great thing to happen to a barber, sort of like the mechanic’s car having to be towed home or the doctor contracting every illness under the sun.
There must be a word describing the syndrome of precisely the wrong thing happen to a person in contradiction of their standing in life. Any thoughts?

The only difference between a good haircut and a bad one is about two weeks.
