Okay – I gotta ask: What does "the beret is backpouting – nevermind. It’s a dash, not a hyphen.

@Doctor ToonThe Tardis would certainly add a spot of color!

I had to google ‘Gainsborough’. I could only think of Gainsborough’s Blue Boy. Boy, is Adam’s imagination a wondrous thing. Not always in a good way. I love the track that the comments took on Adama meeting Kirk. Once again, comments turned out way better than the comic.

Yes, dante, those were dark times. But then along came “Men Without Hats”, sounding the clarion call of hatlessness, and compulsory hatwearing was a thing of the past! They also made it safe to dance. Now if we could just find a band called “Men Without Neckties”…

(Personally, I’m rarely seen outdoors without my black Akubra, but I wear it because I want to, not because I have to.)(However, I swore to myself years ago that I would never again wear a necktie, and so far I’ve been able to stick to it.)

Berets are so fashionable that the Army dumped its green hat and put black berets on all soldiers that didn’t already qualify to wear other colored berets, like the Green Berets, maroon, red, tan, etc. I really wouldn’t call the Army a bunch of nerds!

“all the men wore hats when I was a child.” Yeah, but when we were kids, all the men wore togas.

Trivia: Fedoras were first popular as women’s hats. The name comes from the title character in an 1895 play, who wore a hat of that style onstage.

Likewise, the Trilby took its name from a theatrical character, the young songstress who was enthralled by Svengali in the 1897 London stage version of du Maurier’s novel.

This is more of a comment on the whole style of Brian Basset’s Adam cartoons. Is it just me or has he changed the style of Adam and his family? Ive been a huge fan for years and have many books but I’m not sure if I can get used to this “new style” of Adam. They just don’t look the same.
