Read the ingredients on Beggin Strips. Threw out 3 and a half bags. Bacon/salt, how dumb I am? Maybe Mom was right when she said not to sneak puppy people food (Broccoli was OK I figured)
OK, we’ve established that chocolate and raisins, even grapes, are not good for dogs. Now @Lewreader tells us to read the ingrediants on Beggin Strips and he threw out 3 and a half bags.
Thank you Lewreader for that information. I wonder how many other “foods” that we give our dogs are really not good for them?
http://www.dogtreatrecipes.org/peanut-butter-biscuits.htmlOr these; I substitute blackstrap molasses for the honey and the dog loves them. Applesauce or chopped apple is good here too.http://www.dogtreatrecipes.org/banana-pupcakes.html
My three like “steamed” broccoli, carrots (in small “match stick” or coins) peas, (they LOVE frozen peas in summer) and almost any other veggie. Cabbage leaves – no, but that thick part – yes, Oh, no spinach please. They also like some fruits, melons (and pumpkin), tomatoes (love them!) and cucumber slices. They will gorge on blue berries, but not on strawberries, like cherries, and prunes, but not plums.
Order carnivora! My dog was in a dogfood eating competition once. He finished first, but was disqualified because all the carrots were left surounding the bowl. My comment: He’s a dog, not a rabbit!

Once in a blue moon I’ll feed my Cleopatra some peanut butter. (Just for the visual entertainment value)
