Police in Sao Paulo, Brazil, arrested a man in March 2011 for making more than 200,000 prank phone calls to an emergency response number! Hiromitsu Shinkawa was rescued from his rooftop, 10 miles from shore, two days after his home in Japan was swept out to sea during the March 11, 2011, Sendai tsunami! Wilson Bentley (1865-1931), a farmer and amateur scientist from Jericho, VT, USA, spent decades photographing snowflakes, and captured more than 5000 images, finding no two alike!

I’d like to see on Ripley’s some of the MOST outrageous 9-1-1 calls. Late night shows thrive on those episodes, such as Jay Leno’s series on weird 911 calls.
