Another fine Democrat was unfairly indicted today for using campaign funds to hush up his dalliance with someone besides his ill wife. A moment of silence please, for poor John Edwards. Just a slight error in judgement.
John Edwards was a horrible man, everyone agrees. Oddly, Republicans stick to their own even when they’re worse. (Newt could get the nomination after cheating on his wife, but not after telling the truth about the Ryan budget — that’s unforgivable). To my eye it looks like Weiner is innocent and has only been Breitbarted, but I’ll wait and see how it develops. The debt ceiling vote is infinitely more important.
@Churchill- easy, now. Please don’t confuse Downstate with us up here in Upstate NY. Chris Lee was in my district, and at least he had the decency to look good with his shirt off before leaving in a timely fashion to minimize the damage to himself, his party, and his cause. Your right about Downstate, though. Shameless doesn’t begin to cover it.
