    I have two types of passwords. One, for sites that I don’t care about because there’s nothing sensitive stored there (like gocomics.com) is simple and easy to remember. In fact, there’s one standard password I use for most of them that nobody who doesn’t know me would be likely to guess because it’s not really a word. Two, for sites like banks or places where I actually care about keeping it safe, are much stronger. I keep a file listing them on my desktop because I’m the only person who ever knows it, and the file’s name isn’t exactly obvious.

    @JoPhan – even though it’s only you accessing your computer, consider password-protecting your “password” file. Don’t depend on obscure file names.
