I used to use mine back in IL. I now use a branch bank in a grocery store because it saves time and driving. Aside for errands which may fill the trunk (groceries and water) I alway group errands to save driving.
I REALLY do not like Gocomics. Too many stages to go through to get to the actual comic. And, the inability to zoom these Sunday strips is inexcusable. I can’t read all the detail that Julie puts into her work without the zoom. I am going to try to find another place to view this strip, but if not, then I guess I’ll unsubscrobe.Very annoying changes. Not improvements at all.
GoComics absorbed at least 150 strips, and a zillion subscribers (VERY approximately) just 12 DAYS ago. They’ve said they’re trying to make changes to accommodate everyone, build archives and fix glitches — but it’s all a lot of work,Meanwhile some features don’t work, color and zoom come and go, and messages get answered more slowly than usual due to sheer volume.Use of the site Is free, or you can pay 99 cents a month — the price of one cheap cup of coffee — for no ads. I suggest a little patience.
Well. Glad to see everyone up so early today—and in such a good mood too************ Considering Burl’s diet and lack of physical activity, I’m surprised that his doc has only prescribed a stool softener; I would have thought a double dose of the joy juice they give for colonoscopy prep! And while we’re on the subject, we ARE talking about Burl’s most significant social contribution, aren’t we?
In the interest of “better” customer service, at my local bank, many times they have ONE teller for inside and outside as well; three windows inside and a commercial lane and three regular ones outside. Makes me feel so special.
What I referee to works for me but I’m glad you found something that works for you. As it is, I only need the magnification for Dog Eat Doug on Sundays. The print is way too small today.
How cpntrol + works depends on which browser you use. In IE it magnifies everything, which is a pain because you find your other windows have also enlarged. I use Firefox, where the default is to magnify text only. You can UNcheck that in the menu and it works like IE. But NONE of those things give the hi-res graphic that the magnifier tool does — they only make the low-res image larger. I’m sure that will be fixed. Meanwhile, instead of magnifying everything i all my open windows, I keep a shortcut to Paint on my taskbar. I quickly right-click and copy an image, open Paint, paste it in and enlarge it. It sounds tedious but I can do it more quickly than I can re-set all my open windows. When finished I just close Paint without saving.

Hey why no zoom?

I don’t use them that often, but it’s never taken me more than 5 minutes to get out of a drive-thru.

i liked the front bumper-stickers back when Jackson was running for president: “Run, Jesse, Run!” they went like hotcakes!

Drive thru humiliation…yes, with the Pennys, it’s always a race. You can bank on it.

Having been a bank teller, worked the drive thru many times, 3 lanes, many days myself.

And this is without a doubt ONE OF, IF NOT THE FUNNIEST Dinette Set I have ever read, in all these years!

Today’s strip is somewhat foreign to me. I’m from Oregon where it’s illegal to pump your own gas…It’s a pretty spiffy gig we’ve got going here.

Am I the only one who finds the term “deposit” somewhat unsettling in this context?

It all depends on what you’re used to. I didn’t like dealing with comics.com

Use {ALT} + or – for magnifying and reducing magnification.
Kirk Sinclair over 13 years ago
Search for “Virtual Magnifying Glass” and you can download a magnifying glass program, if your system doesn’t already come with one built in.
The only thing I really miss from GoComics is the ability to up or down rate the comments.

when I said it will be fixed, I meant the missing Sunday magnifier, not he behavior of those browsers.

A feature missed is e-mail notification of comments posted – and Thumbs Up, though Thumbs Down should never ever be implemented.
