Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for March 01, 1986
Transcript:
Calvin: I think it's time we had a new dad around here. WHen does your term of office expire? Dad: Sorry, Calvin, I was appointed your dad for life. Calvin: For life?! What about a recall fove? What about impeachment? Dad: There are no provisions for either. Calvin: Did you write this constitution yourself, or what? Dad: Well, your mom helped some, too.

Dad for life–it’s really true. No matter how big you get, no matter how many decades you’ve seen, you are always a child to your parents. Like this commercial for Subaru

Calvin, the father role is appointed for life once a baby is born. The Constitution was written when the first baby was made. (I think it was with Adam and Eve, but it depends on your religion.) Haven’t you learned about the Constitution in 1st grade?

I believe for parents, CPS and divorce court replaces recall vote and impeachment. :p
