Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for June 20, 1988
Transcript:
Calvin: Hey, Mom, Dad and I are going fishing. Don't you want to come along? Mom: Uggh, no. The last thing I want to see at this ungodly hour is a bunch of fish gasping and flopping in the slop at the bottom of a boat. All I'd like to see is a decent newspaper, a fresh muffin and a pot of real coffee. Calvin: Why'd we ever come here then? Dad: Go ask Conan the Barbariam. Dad: C'mon, Calvin. I'll teach you to put a worm on a hook.
