Mom: Here's Hobbes, but where's Calvin? Dad: I don't see him. Mom: Where could he have gone? We just turned our backs for a minute. Dad: And why didn't he take Hobbes? Dad: You stay here in case he comes back, and I'll go look for him. Mom: Ok. (sigh) Dad: Being a parent is wanting to hug and strangle your kid at the same time.
