Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for November 06, 1988
Transcript:
Calvin: Flaps...check. Fuel...check. Landing gear...check. Goggles...check. Calvin pilots his F-15 at more than 1,500 miles an hour. Loaded with tons of every conceivable missle, the jet shrieks low over the ground! Up and over the next rise, his target comes into view! Calvin FIRES! Missle after missle streaks ahead and detonates with grim accuracy! Mission accomplished! A smoldering crater is all that remains of Calvin's elementary school! SIGH...

Love the goggles. Some kids just can’t resist that added touch…

Looks like he had more luck with this model than when he tried to make a F-4 Phantom jet.

This was one of the first Calvin and Hobbes strips I ever saw. My dad showed it to me (because of my love for military aircraft) and I instantly fell in love with this comic. By the way, I think it would have been neat if it was an F-15E Strike Eagle-that way Hobbes could have been in the backseat! XD
