Thank you, Gymshoe! I think I just grew up knowing too many people too much like the Pennys. @Ray — maybe you’re right. I thought the flowers were poking in over the edge of an unglazed frame, with the vase outside.Possibly that bottom “flower” is really the stem, and they’re inside, and as you say, the vase top edge is a coincidence.But I’m confused, cos there are also windowpane lines in front of the VCR (looks too fat for a DVD player) though they seem thinner than the window frames. Of course, I’m no stranger to confusion.
