Speaking as somebody who is a Type II diabetic, I’d prefer that you call it a “condition,” not a “disease.” Most people think of a disease as something you can catch or that you can pass on to others and, of course, that’s not true. And, of course, one jelly bean isn’t enough to do trigger it anyway. Dental carries, of course, are another matter, and even one sweet at just the Wrong Time can have painful consequences.(Sorry about the lecture, but I’m a tad sensitive sometimes about people misunderstanding just what diabetes is.)
