Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for October 16, 1989
Transcript:
Calvin: Uh oh, Calvin the reptile is in trouble! As an ectotherm, his body relies on the environment to warm or cool it's temperature. Now that it's colder outside, Calvin's body temperature falls and he becomes sluggish! He'll go into torpor if he can't find a warm place to lie! Mom: Leave the thermostat alone, and put on a sweater if you're cold. Calvin: I...I don't have the en..energy!

Definition of a sweater: something you wear when your mother is cold. Unless you are Calvin, apparently.

I used to want to crank up the thermostat when I was 9, but my dad stopped me! Great Job Bill!

When I was 9, I cranked up the thermostat to 68, then it started steaming, and than I had to put it back to 64.
