I’ll be working out this morning – got to skim off the pool first and I keep my weight very steady with great homemade food. At least this is a REAL holiday with a reason (unlike the ones given to troublemaking activists).

OLMAN-Great comeback! You forgot, though, that these trouble making activists were WHITE.

I know I am gonna be scarfing our small towns country fair’s food till I have to stop to rest and watch the fireworks. Best part of the summer to me! I dont think it was an official holiday until sometime in the latter 1800’s though. And we didnt get the day off of work until it was officially declared to be a legal holiday until the early 20th century, but I would have to google it. Been a long time since history classes in college. lol.

Happy Fourth of July Everyone !!

According to wikianswers the 4th was declared a federal holiday in 1776 and became a legal holiday in 1941.
