eew, ick! I’m in “Californy” but we are in beautiful Northern California and we do not have polluted air. It’s about the best place I can think of to live, close to town, OK 15 miles through the oak forests and rolling hills, but the two is only about 15,000 people. After that……more rolling hills, oak trees, vinyards…….
Actually, many of us think California should be two states, North and South California. The life styles and just everything are so different between the two.
Since when did they have smog in the 1960’s. I thought it was a more modern problem. I thought all we had to worry about in the 60’s was “the bomb” and radioactive falllout!
Two Californias: I remember Ernest Callenbach included northern California in the breakaway nation of Ecotopia, in fact had San Franscisco as the capital. Also many in British Columbia, and even Yukon, complained he didn’t include them in that fictional country.
