Well this is one of the saddest strips ever (and kind of jarring seeing how bizarre the last week has been). I feel the same as Number Six! Too bad Poncho doesn’t know what a hairball really is or he could just let them do it without worrying (although in the Pooch Café world maybe Gramps is right…). As callous as Poncho seems most of the time he’s still a good dog on the inside (sometimes… it’s just usually hidden in the kibble bowl he keeps eating by accident, when the clown’s not using it).For those who don’t check the links, the Pooch Café blog mentions that Year One will be ending on September 7th. I hope we get a little more closure on where the rest of Poncho’s siblings are (or we see them as adults in upcoming arcs). I don’t remember if we’ve heard of anyone outside Orlando, I only started reading about 4 years ago.

You know, if that cat catapult works, NASA would like to talk to you guys. They can’t even put a human into space any more!

Agreed – that slow pan pulls us into Poncho’s head. And with just a slight change in the way Poncho’s eye is drawn, Paul makes us feel our hero’s impending sobs and sniffles. Great job! :)
