Man: How was your Cape Cod vacation last week?
Brutus: Fine, except the two times it rained...
Man: That's not so bad.
Brutus: First, from Monday through Wednesday, and then from Friday through Sunday!
RCMinor – sounds a bit like Singapore. I was walking to my aunts house from Church. I heard thunder as I exited the church, looked into the horizon and said to myself “It’s only a 10 minute walk, those clouds are 10 or more clicks (kilometers) from here… I’ll be home in time!” I got to the “Y” corner, where one street split into two, and had a perpendicular cross street, and while waiting to cross, I was soaked. It didn’t just start to spit, or drizzle, it came down in literal sheets of rain. Within 10 seconds, I was soaked to the bone, and I’m still finding moss, 9 years later. :P
Most cottage rentals run from Saturday to Saturday on the Cape. One can’t control the weather, but the Cape is a beautiful place rain or shine. it is even more beautiful in the fall when most of the tourists have left the Cape altogether. Labor Day weekend the locals will be on the overpasses on Rte 6 waving them farewell until the next year.
