I know a guy who did something similar to wife. Asked her to go out and get the newspaper, then ran around the house and jumped out of the bushes at her wearing a fright mask. She’s now his ex-wife.
In other news, a camper was shot yesterday while trying to play a prank on his wife by dressing up as a bear. It seems the man had forgotten that his wife had packed her pistol. His wife had no comment.
