That’s indeed a good medication / first-aid.

The amount of mud though is special for Snoopy. We have to stop him from rolling over when he sleeps with that much wait on his midriff.

I’ve never figured out what the mud is supposed to do.

As the mud dries it’s suppost to draw out the poison.My mother used to take baking soda mix in a little water, and put it on where I was stung.Basicly it is a poultice..\\//_

The mud is supposed to soothe, draw out the stinger and some of the venom all at the same time.

So now Violet is a doctor? She horning in on Lucy’s territory.

When I was a kid if you got a cut or a scrape everyone said, “Let a dog lick it.” Supposedly that was going to stop the bleeding and disinfect it. Now that I’m an adult, and know that dogs will eat anything they can find, I cringe. And yet we never got an infection from it.

I was taught to use a mixture of tobacco and saliva to draw out the venom. It worked.

Definitely not homeopathic mud.

@Avid Reader “Horning in” is a term meant to push aside, (although the word horning is not in your average spell checker,) This colonialism comes from the habit of a longer horned bovine critter pushing away another animal to get to the feed. Honing is the act of sharping an object.

I meant colloquialism, not colonialism. Just shows how easy it is to jump in and correct someone else with out checking my own spelling.

I’ve found that Baking Soda works better than mud.

Maybe that was mud that Violet planned to use to make mud pies.
