Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for June 25, 1990
Transcript:
Calvin: Hop in, Hobbes! We're going to get rich! Hobbes: Oh no, I'm not getting in that box. I don't want to be transmogrified or duplicated or whatever. Calvin: What? When the top is open, it's a time machine, remember? Hobbes: Even worse. Calvin: Oh, don't be such a baby. The way you act, you'd think the dinosaur actually got us last time. Why, it wasn't even a carnivore. Hobbes: I don't care. You and that box are plain bad news.

Hobbes is leery of Calvin’s box inventions, and rightly so.
