Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for March 16, 1991
Transcript:
Hobbes: Find any dinosaur bones yet? Calvin: Nope. I wish we lived in the Badlands of Montana. It's easier there because erosion often exposes the bones. Here though, you just have to start digging and hope for the best. Hobbes: Hence the systematic approach, hmm? Calvin: Right. I guess I'll have to move that sapling.

I loved digging as a kid. Like a dog digs if he’s bored. I would just dig for fun. My parents consecrated a corner of the yard for my shenanigans.

Hmm…Calvin has dug his own grave several times over. Seems unnecessary.
