Albert E. Gray had the same question as Rat, so he studied successful people, ultimately finding one common thread of their success: “All successful people have the habit of doing the things failures don’t like to do. They don’t like doing them either necessarily. But their disliking is subordinated to the strength of their purpose.”

Success is like winning the lottery. Besides having to buy the ticket (namely, being focused on the purpose) you must be lucky -or predestined.
