Wow, TWO Find-It’s. We must have been good yesterday. Well, you guys, cos I wasn’t here, sorry. And good morning all — actually, soon to be goodnight, for me. Aren’t you guys on the way to bed too?Yeah, Marg, I was going to say the same — she doesn’t feed leftover beans to Burl cos they hardly ever have anything left over. Maybe turkey cos she buys a 26-pounder just to make sure.
Besides, I wouldn’t feed ANY beans to any of them. I’ve seen them at the doctor, and bubbling away in the pool.Funny, Montana. BTW I just read yesterday’s comments, and people keep repeating advice about making the strips larger in your browser. YES but that doesn’t increase the resolution, so sometimes you still can’t read small words. And Firefox by default only magnifies the text with Cont +, till you uncheck that box in the view menu. The magnifier gives a more hi res image.
GoComics DOES know, and they post now and then that they’re working on it. For some reason they have a problem implementing it on Sundays, mostly only on strips they got from Comics.com.But gradually it’s working on more strips, and archives are drifting in too.As for Pro membership, or who gets 45 days free — well …. I don’t have much income at all right now (anybody got a job for me?)….Can’t afford cable - but Pro is 11.88 a YEAR, which works out to 99 cents a month - in my town one Sunday paper is $1.50 and so is a cup of “cheap” coffee. 3 cents a day for a couple hundred comics and no ads, plus a community of comics lovers, and I spend way more time here than watching TV. <br?You can do it for free and stop a lot of ads with a pop-up blocker — that’s the only difference — but I just figured it was a very small extravagance. I’ll decide again next June. But y’know, when more of the newspapers now buying the strips die off, syndicates will HAVE to charge us for web access, to be able to pay for the publication rights.
Marguerite I agree, although putting Burl and beans togehter sounds like a really dangerous activity. Hazmat and all that. And Burl sure knows how to call ’em; he knows cheap when he sees it! @Montana Lady, down South here, we remember the ever-popular Blaze Starr.
I love my Cuban style black beans, especially with turkey breast and sliced yams. I make each separately and freeze in individual portions. That way I can have a better variety while cooking for one. Right now my freezer is stocked with all that as well as pizzas and ice cubes of pizza sauce, lemon juice etc.

I used to read Brenda Starr when a kid because our paper had it, but now I only read the strips I like.

Eek I apologize for the length of my earlier comment. I thought I posted the first part before I wrote the rest.
It would still be too long — but a LITTLE better.
Anyhow, Dusty Street was a long-time (female) disk jockey in San Francisco
