G’morning, all. Yeah, Burl — everybody “nose” trees wreck a neighborhood. There’s just no sense of community when you can’t see what’s on TV across the street. The neighbors probably asked for THREE trees, and equally irate that they have to settle for one. They’ll be out there fertilizing it every week, with their fingers crossed. “Grow, Baby, grow.”Nerdy comment of the night:“Grease Trap” is especially good cos those cloths were (or are) properly called “antimacassars”, so named because they once protected the furniture from macassar oil, a heavy, greasy Victorian hair product.

And from yesterday — yeah, I try to “Find It” before I read the comments too. But on days when I’m a little slow, or it’s well hidden or non-existent, I can’t make myself wait that long before I see what all you guys have to say. :c)

If the Pennys were my neighbors I think I would be asking the city if I could build a 12 ft brick wall instead of just a tree.

Anything over 6 feet needs a variance.

If the Pennys lived across the street from me, I’d move! However, considering the current real estate market, I’d certainly ask for a tree. Maybe even an Israeli style wall. And if the prevailing wind was from them, I’d walk, market or no.*********@Susan, thanks again for the refresher on “antimacassars.”

A 20 ft. wall would be even better.

So much of the writing on the stuff fits the joke today, Ruth Buzzi played an unrelenting busybody on “Laff-in”, Burls shirt parodies a nativity song “Do you see what I see” (but smell fits the pennys and the nose), even the cup says “icu”. I’m not forgetting the Room with a View- that’s so Pennys!

Consider that when you buy a wastebasket, they put it in a bag for you. When you get it home, you put the bag in it.

@ Huskers-thanks, I missed that! @ Coffee – yes we have all had such neighbors. @Susan- I always appreciate all your comments. We have been suffering high heat and even humidity (not usual in Phx) but I’ve had very little rain at my house; just a few minutes ago it started raining HARD -with no excessive winds. I hope it keeps up. My dripper system is down.
