Found it. JL has really stirred up a hornet’s nest today. She makes a good point, and as a matter of courtesy I personally try to schedule my activities away from the times when working people use stores, transport, etc. And I really hate the aggressive “entitled” attitude some have. (Yes, I’m talking about you, Aunt Dorothy!!!) But to the strip—-creamed corn, Bran Trax (Trix?) and the dietary supplement drink; priceless.*************@Susan, I was looking at a new supernova tonight with my telescope (no, I was NOT checking out the widow Jones in the high-rise!) when I realized that it wasn’t a supernova at all but your crown with all of its stars. I called Sister Mary Macassar at the convent and she confirmed this is the case. The Colonel agrees as well. I’ll bet you don’t own black patent leather shoes even now.

First — the strip.Yeah…. way to go Burl and Dale — like you’re not already grabbing the senior discount at Denny’s.A few more years till somebody can say the same rude stuff to YOU – I just know when you have all day free you’ll be blocking the aisles yourself whenever you feel like it, looking for the cheapest brand of caramel corn. Meanwhile, I’m not sure I DO find it — I thought I did but it was a taffy apple.Taffy apples, so great for old people with false teeth.

Then, Mikie — Wow, I didn’t know it was so bright, along with heavyThat’s why I tried to hand it off to the Colonel, and resume my lighthearted and obviously lightheaded twirl through the cosmos. And patent shoes??! Why (….sniff..) never! Nor shiny pearls, unless long enough to hang well below my decolletage.

Have seen several times, where a senior will borrow a neighbor’s car (their’s may be in the shop) and come out of a store and have 9 people looking all over for the wrong car for 20 minutes (in the heat).

Not as many fun things to read in today’s strip. I like to shop as soon as I run out of any essentials. My store has no sugary cereals like Trix, but has all the ingredients for my breakfast bars=organic apples, bulk raisons, hulled sunflower seeds, flaxseed meal, wheat germ, rolled oats, whole wheat flour, all the essentials and all the produce at the best prices every day. No senior discount and I still spend less shopping there. They also have more brands of large size Greek yogurt, but I buy only one-plain Greek Gods in regular and low fat. I have to go elsewhere for my diet soda (I still allow myself one a day, but now I only like DietRite Raspberry and Tangerine) The ones with different sweetners don’t taste good to me.

Gymshoe - True. Sorry. And as for canned corn — I was raised in the Midwest, where you can grow anything, on canned vegetables. The neighbors and my relatives all ate them too.My mother wouldn’t serve anything Dad didn’t like. An Illinois girl herself, she loved asparagus, but thought you had to buy it in a can. Mushrooms too — either one could make you sick if you bought it fresh. Luckily my Dad DID love fresh corn, and we got iceberg lettuce and store-bought tomatoes — but green beans, peas, carrots and lima beans had to come encased in tin or he wouldn’t touch them.He died at 90, a few years ago, probably without ever tasting fresh broccoli or asparagus in his life!

Same here. And I lived there 40 years bfore getting out. They’ll run down pedestrian without a second thought. Happend to a co-worker downtown, where best speed was 25km. I almost got hit in my neighborhood, but fortunately, I was paying attention to my surroundings.

And if they aren’t driving, instead using public transportation, they insist on doing most of their travel during rush hour, which slows the bus down for people trying to get to work.If you complain, they have a similar attitude to the “we can do whatever we want” senior … they think the bus is there for them alone and all the others are in THEIR way.
