I miss the days when we had taller cubicle walls. The University’s HR department put out a memo about “how not to build a cube farm”, and all the “what not to do” examples were pictures of our then-brand-new cubefarm. :|
I worked for a bank that moved into a new large space, and when they designed the cubicle farm, they forgot to account for the width or thickness of the individual panels. The final design was very awkward.
Cubefarm i can handle. It’s Hotdesking i can’t abide. Even its inventors made a public apology and declared it was a stupid idea. Google search Kitty Flanagan Hot Desking for one of our favourite Aussie stand-up comedian’s report on it :D
