It’s interesting that as soon as Arlo started talking, I knew EXACTLY what cartoon he was talking about, even though I haven’t seen it in, what, 40 years? What is it about that particular cartoon that makes it stand out among the hundreds of wonderful WB saturday morning cartoons?

There are occassions when a “mere” cartoon really tugs the heart-strings. Homer at the end of the “Simpsons” episode where he finally met his mother, only for her to be forced to leave again. A few episodes of “Futurama” as well.
