It’s hard to believe that there are still people that believe that we in the USA live in a democracy. WE DON’T. We live in a representative republic. In a democracy we would vote on every decision made. We have people that SUPPOSEDLY do that for us……Senate, House of Representatives!
That’s why we pledge allegiance “to the REPUBLIC for which it stands (flag)” and not “to the democracy for which it stands”! Can you imagine having to go to the polls to vote on every little thing?
