    In the UK the robins appear in the winter when we have the frost and snows. That’s because they have flown south to spend the winter with us. Hardy little buggers they are.

    A few stay all year, until someone’s pet cat eats them, anyway.

    The european robin (Erithacus rubecula), in Italy, is a sign of an oncoming cold spell in Winter, if you see one.
