No, marketing wonks want to suck in all your personal information and sell it to spammers and government agencies (comics.com is the closest I get to social networking).
If I were to use Facebook (I’ve never been there, and currently have no plans to.) I’d set up a throw-away account at hotmail or someplace similar to use as my email address and never mention any other address. That way, I could delete my Facebook profile, abandon that address and the spammers would have nothing but a useless address for me.
