Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for April 30, 1993
Transcript:
Calvin: With my great slogan and your great artwork, this traffic safety poster is a shoe-in for first prize! Hobbes: A solid foundation of anatomical study is essential for the artist. Calvin: What should we spend the prize money on? Hobbes: Of course, technical skill alone isn't enough. A picture needs depth of feeling. Calvin: I think I'll blow it all on jaw breakers and comic books. Hobbes: I'll draw some stars to show pain and human suffering. Calvin: When you've got talent like ours, the world is your oyster.

I like how Hobbes is immersed in the pure creativity of the moment, while Calvin is already spending the prize money. “Stars show human pain and suffering.” Hee!

Lol Hobbes is doing all the work while Calvin is in a world of his own, as per usual.
