Forget the skin tone and complexion, I am still pondering T-zan’s use of the term “tumble” referring to the policeman in cel 2. I’ve always thought a “tumble” had a sexual connotation in the sense of “rough & tumble”. I guess if you go around wearing spotted briefs all the time your use of language is inconsequential.

Tarzan’s skin is very deeply tanned, at least in the books.
