Re: ERNEST HEMINGWAYAs a result of this incident, the Cape Buffalo have been known to stalk and, yes, kill budding young writers or even those they suspect of reading.
Which may explain why you don’t read much about them.
I like balanced robust ladies, especially the type in FF’s threefer, and I would be very upset if the Bennett Sisters tried to kneel on my adding machine.
When I was in first grade at SS Peter and Paul Jesuit School in the Detroit inner city, Sugar Chile Robinson came and played the piano in our auditorium. I’m sure it was a free concert, for maybe 200 kids grades 1 through 8. The nuns talked about him for years after that. I would never have remembered this if not for the Blog entry. Thanks, Teresa!

With thanks to fear-ciuil, I can respond to today’s FA:
Not much—all muffled and faint. Then, kinda bubbly, after it’s tossed into the lake….

—But, FB gets a triple glove slap: it was Sheriff (not marshal sic) Pat Garrett who took down the Kid, and the reward offered was $500, not 5000.

While I hate to be picky Ms B…Those aren’t gloves, they are small dead fish, and probably smelt.
