Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for August 10, 1993
Transcript:
Calvin: Why isn't Susie picking up the coded message?! Doesn't she see it?? What's wrong with her?! Doesn't she know enough to intercept somebody else's secret letter when it's dropped right in front of her?? Hobbes: Maybe she wasn't paying attention to us. Calvin: That's inconceivable! Who wouldn't be interested in everything we do?!

I’d say Calvin was quite arrogant, except on a metaphysical level, millions of people were and still are deeply interested in everything he does.
