Transcript:
Calvin: Hey1 I can't get out! I'm stuck1 Help! Susie: Calvin? Calvin: Susie, I'm trapped in the hall closet! Open the door! Let me out1 Help! Help! Hurry1 Quick! I'm in the closet! Open the door and get me out of... SLAM HEY! Calvin: YES!
I remember “Underdog” and “The Perils of Penelope Pitstop” pulling a similar trick to lure the hero into a trap, but both of those used record players instead of cassettes (as both shows were from the 1960s.) And the recordings just consisted of Sweet Polly Purebred/Penelope Pitstop shouting “Help!” over and over.
