Red and Rover by Brian Basset for November 27, 2009
Transcript:
Red: You wouldn't know it by looking outside, but today's the busiest shopping day of the year. Odd, I feel strangely left out, yet I hate crowds and I'm almost broke. I suppose we could walk to the corner store and I could buy a red jawbreaker. Rover: Now that's the holiday spirit!!

No, they weren’t wrapped in plastic when you or I were his age. They were in boxes and cost less!

Hopefully he has enough money to buy something for Rover too or he’s going to be awfully disappointed.

This is the best strip since Calvin and Hobbes. Red is the type of child that everyone can love, each day with out fail.
With Calvin there are days that try one patience.

This is by far, the best and cutest comic, especially if you’re a dog person!

It’s not how much you buy, but what you buy that’s important. I’m getting a purple jawbreaker for myself.
