That is strange! It’s hard to tell just what that is. If it’s his leg the other leg is very wide isn’t it?

I just think it’s his arm going into his mitts: they’ve got idiot strings attached.

Kids that age are so flexible it’s amazing the positions they can get into. If I tried that, I’d be in traction!

Having looked at both versions of the strip (color & b/w) I still can’t quite get my head around it. Confusing much? Even if that bit was changed from red to blue, there’s still an awfully large blue section down there which we are supposed to believe is just Michael’s left leg!? Arrrgh, all this over-analyzing is doing my head in! xD

Still, the fact that he’s standing on one leg, while putting a boot on, and talking shows he can multi-task, and has good balance.

@ Joe-Allen “JOE” Doty …you can color in what is between his chin and the boot with the same color that is on his pants.

But even after my awesome coloring efforts, I STILL say that there’s still an awfully large blue section down there…

Howtheduck Michael doesn’t even come close to showing us that he is a contortionist. I’m 64 years old and can do that; needless to say, a 10 year old is more limber than I am.
