Now I’m offended that you thought I was being “defensive”. What an offensive set of defensive circumstances!

What boggles my mind is the length of the line of braves waiting to sign up. Just how bad were First American unemployment rates in those days?

“Name?” “Limpid Lizard, yer worshipfulness!” “Uh…just what tribe are you from?” “Why, th’Poohawks, uv course!” “Get out of this line and out of this strip…NOW, before you jinx the rest of us!”

It took me a minute, but I found reasons to be offended. My wife is unemployed so I am offended that you drew people waiting in long lines. I am in Atlanta so there must be some stereotypical reference to The Braves. My friends in Cleveland must be furious too. Why aren’t there any women in that line? Don’t you think women can fight Custer? How narrow-minded you are Chief Thom Thom! I love it!

The TRIBE has grown.

cleo, I was going to mention that the fourth in line resembled you for some reason, but your twisted, neckid mind arrived first. Awesome!

Two thoughts:

This is the last stand to sign up at. The other warriors all signed up at the previous stands.

I wonder if any of those in line are Winnebagos? – The only American tribe, as one of its chiefs noted, to be named after a RV…

And of course, now I’m offended because no one else seems to recognize a reference (in my last comment) to the classic strip Tumbleweeds when they see one. :))

I’m offended that no one noticed the Blazing Saddles reference in my post. Apparently if you’re not from the tribe, no one notices you :-)

I never watched Blazing Saddles, so I wouldn’t get that reference if it stuck to the sole of my shoe. ;)

I haven’t seen Saddles for years now–and then that was a network-edited version in which the scene around the campfire was oddly quiet…
