I nstalled Norton who informed me my former anti virus had hopelessly infected me. Then the computer shut down for a week.
Fun fact, in terms of security, Apple is technically behind Windows. Just less people are trying to infect macs, so they appear more “secure”.
I’ve owned a Mac since 1988. Never been infected or hacked. To use Professor Moody’s tact, I’ve used “Constant vigilence” on my Windows laptop.
It’s just a cyber version of the old protection racket where you pay to be protected from your protectors. Also known as extortion.
I LOVE Macs since I’ve grown up using them my whole life, and their security firewalls was built into the systems from the ground up.
Good ol’ “rm -rf /” ought to do the trick…
I prefer to think of it as the “Nortonanti Virus!”
I agree… I think he’s creating a virus to defeat the virus scanner. ;-)
