Yes, she and Little Abner finally got married, but I followed the strip for years and he never seemed to appreciate her. Even though she cooked, cleaned, and did all sorts of manual labor for him while he did nothing but eat bananas, bounce around a little ball, and read about his “ideel”, Fearless Fosedick in the paper. At times she could have even gotten a rich powerful man. She deserved better, but some women are just plain dumb and will love a certain man no matter how much that man neglects them!
