Luann by Greg Evans and Karen Evans for November 26, 2000
Transcript:
Luann, Bernice and Delia are in the library studying. Looking at a book, Luann says, "Listen to this: 'When boys are asked if they'd want to be girls, nearly all say no, seeing it as a disadvantage.'" Luann continues reading, "'But when girls are asked if they'd want to be boys, most say yes, citing many advantages." Bernice says, "Yeah, I can sure see advantages, can't you, Delta?" Delta looks off panel at someone yelling, "Yo!" Five slovenly boys are gathered at another table. The first throws a paper airplane. The second has made a drawing of a soldier on his chest, saying, "Check it out: markers." The third eats an apple and sticks his finger in his ear, saying, "Most excellent." The fourth makes noises with his armpit, saying, "Listen ... the school song." The fifth drinks a cola with his pants half down over his underwear. Back to the girls, Delia says, "I'd take the freedom and toss the rest out." Off panel, the boys continue, "Can you do this?" "Brooop." "Dude!"
