I think this is the start of another repeat cycle. If they’re going to repeat strips why not start with the one where Jane’s10 year old niece ended up with a blue crew cut.
i would like to meet some man like evans, who i know is a cartoon character. but the writer gives him good dialogue and i am sure there is a real man walking around who may sound like Paige’s writing.

According to Paige’s blog, Talia was supposed to be in this arc. But that’s the last (rear) view we have of her.
