A crescent moon is out. TJ and Brad are asleep in the car. Brad says, "TJ, wake up. We gotta go find food, man. I'm dyin.'" TJ remarks, "Yeah. Me too." As they drive along, TJ suggests, "We need gas. Maybe your dad could, like, pay over the phone with his card." Brad says, "We've got two bucks. Just pray Pete has food." In front of a vendor machine, Brad says, "Okay. For $2 we can get a box of mini donuts or two twinkies or some licorice. What do you pick, TJ?"
